Right after college, i landed my first job in the call center industry. A pretty far decision from my degree but i wanted a challenge and so i gave it a shot. I was able to hone my communication skills and boost my confidence working as an agent. I landed my first supervisor role at the age of 22. Handling a team of agents much older than me. A tough road but also a challenge that motivated me to be the best in what i do. After landing another operations/customer service job in a telecom company in Bahrain, I realized that this is not the field of expertise I see myself in 5 years from now. So I decided to pave a path towards Human Resources and Personnel and Development and start to slowly shift careers.

Currently, I am employed at Visit Bahrain, a destination management company, one of it's kind in the Kingdom. I have started with the company when it was born, being the only employee for 5 months, learning every route, barrier and skill there is in regards to inbound tourism. 2 years later, the company has built itself as a home to 30 employees (within and outside the Kingdom), a steady clientele list and passing the start-up phase.

I believe that no role is permanent and we have to keep making changes in our lives in order to attain more knowledge and grow so new opportunities are welcome.
