Electrical Project Engineer
Designing the Electrical aspects using Power CAD for the Electrical Switchgear in compliance with Australian Electrical (AS/NZS: 3000) Standards.
Assisting Mechanical Engineer in designing the Mechanical aspects for the Electrical Switchgear.
Read product manuals on setting up & programming the devices and instruments (various display meters used for alarming & logging real-time values) to be used on the switchgear.
Keeping up-to-date knowledge, information and operation related to switchgear components.
Review & design drawings, prepare bill of quantities and interface control documents.
Estimating, planning, creating work breakdown structures, milestones to deal with tasks in a very demanding and challenging environment for timely delivery of projects to meet deadlines.
Calculations & estimation related to protection aspects (such as cable sizing, clearances & cable routes, Circuit breaker types, classifications and their ratings etc.) for the switchgear to ensure Compliance with Electrical Standards.
Assisting Engineers in designing the Electrical Switchgear Panel namely the “Genset Control Panel” (GCP).
Learning WinCC, Simatic Step-7 300/400 software package, reading wiring diagram and schematics.
Reviewing installed equipment for GCP.
Preparing Test procedures for the GCP & Reports underlying outcomes and any faults.
Performing Loop Testing and Energize Testing on all GCPs being manufactured.
Learn about different wiring standards and understanding them.
Assisting Engineers in various ongoing projects.
Design an all LED based lightning system for the gas station based on any software package.
Learning DIALux & RELux to design the LED lighting system.
Master of Electrical & Electronic Engineering
Major Subjects include: Industrial Automation (skilled in using WinCC, Simatec Step-7 – Completed various projects on S-7 300 CPU with HMI enabled interface, also achieved an accomplishment for beating a challenge PLC programming project being 1 of the 3 successful students), Introduction to Electrical Building Design (related to extensive training on KNX for Building Automation, Lighting Design and various Building Design standards covered in ASNZS 3000), Power System Analysis & Control, Engineering Design (research project and team based design project), Protection & High Voltage Engineering, Introduction to Electrical Building Design (skilled in using PowerCad-5) and Renewable Electrical Energy Systems (Completed project on MicroWind software regarding Grid connected & disconnected home based on solar and Turbine powered energy solution).
