- Take responsibility of Billing Supervisor in his/her absence. Conduct himself/herself as the business ethics of the Business Office.
- Occasionally served as a backup medical secretary for the Business Office Manager.
- Collect money from patients and insure that there are advance payments in their balance
- Send BMR’s (Brief Medical Records) to insurance companies and follow up with them in order to get the approvals for patients as soon as possible.
- Process the patients bills with due diligence.
- Finalize the billing statement/related aspects for discharged patient and provide the clearance to the attending nurse within due time and clear the patient from the system immediately.
- Issue of patients refunds invoices in case of advance payments after the discharge order, inform the Unit Supervisors in about the refunds in order to give the money back to the patients upon discharge.
- Interface with the Unit Supervisor relating to explanation of bills and doubts arising out of it in order to explain them to the patient or his family.
- Coordinate with Billing Supervisor relating to business promotion, discounts, upgrade, cancellation and various forms of offers for the patients

- Reviews civil registry records and other documents for accurateness, consistency and completeness entries for release.
