Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: Talents UAE Office, Dubai (preferably) or Abu Dhabi

Reports To: UAE Country Manager

No. of Staff: Supervised: Up to 5 directly / indirectly support project teams

Duration: 8–9-month initial contract with potential to be extended to Permanent role

Salary: 23,000 AED per month plus performance bonus

TalentsUAE Project Development Consultancy specialises in creating inspiring visitor experiences, focusing on museums, art and heritage centres, science centres and World Expos. We work with clients on all levels, from the conception stage of a project to refining the visitor experience. TKCA offers a wide range of services, including recruitment, training & mentorship, exhibition design, development of educational programming and strategic planning.

 

Clients include: Louvre, Abu Dhabi; Qasr Al Watan; Expo 2020 UK Pavilion, Expo 2020 UAE Pavilion

 

As a highly-skilled & experienced Senior Manager you will support the UAE Country Manager in developing, delivering and managing Talents projects across the UAE.

 

 

Job Description:

 

Working alongside the UAE Country Manager and key partners, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of Talents UAE projects through:

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring successful delivery of projects from initiation to completion for one to multiple projects (up to six projects) simultaneously
  • Preparing detailed project plans for all phases of each project
  • Ensuring that projects are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards whilst supporting Project Managers to manage deliverables with teams and stakeholders
  • Developing and delivering progress reports, required documentation and presentations to the UAE Country Manager, project teams and Senior Leadership team as required
  • Managing project changes, risks and issues, demonstrating how solutions will address client goals whilst maintaining company best practices
  • Managing internal quality control on all projects
  • Keeping abreast of professional development of emerging technologies, methods and practices
  • Working closely with the UAE Country Manager building upon Talents UAE projects identifying new ways to add value for existing and new clients, and maximise opportunities for client retention
  • Representing Talents UAE to the highest standards ensuring courteous and timely communications at all times.
  • Adhering to all memorandum of understanding and NDA agreements with partners
  • Compiling Case Studies of active projects to share with Business Development function of the company

 

Project & Line Management

  • Overseeing the recruitment, selection, training and operations of project teams
  • Liaising with HR as required
  • Leading, motivating and inspiring project teams, setting the standard for the ‘ways things are done’
  • Monitoring staff performance, deliver performance reviews and awareness of staff development opportunities
  • Ensuring staff resource is accurately and consistently recorded across all project staff for each project, and tracking that each project is delivered profitably, within original staff resource budgets agreed
  • Forecasting and anticipate needs, wants and concerns from staff
  • Forecasting and anticipate needs, wants and concerns from client
  • Taking care of your personal health and safety and that of others and report any health and safety concerns

  • Professional and efficient management of projects by Talents UAE
  • Exceeds customer service levels at all times
  • Delivers high levels of client retention
  • Targets are achieved and met within timescales and on budget
  • Maintain outstanding service levels with clients leading to increased revenue opportunities & high client retention
  • All staff have clear objectives with identified development needs and follow correct HR procedures

 

Approach

  • Work closely with the UAE Project Manager to develop and deliver Talents projects
  • Work closely with Talents Managers, mentors and contractors in developing and delivering projects
  • Work closely with direct reports to ensure successful outcomes for all staff and projects

 

Experience (essential)

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in project management
  • Extensive experience of project and programme management principles, methods, and techniques
  • Experience of influential leadership and people management
  • Experience of conflict management and the ability to manage difficult situations
  • Experience of working in large visitor attractions
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem- solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Proven ability to work in a creative environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common goal

Experience (desired)

  • Experience of excellent organisational skills and IT skills
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
  • Experience drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary
  • Experience presenting to senior management and clients both written and orally
